Using Power Words

August 24th, 2007

Sometimes using power words can have a distinct advantage over using affirmations since a power word has less difficultly in penetrating deep into the subconscious mind and helping to change an old belief. While we may have the best intentions when we repeat positive affirmations to ourselves, sometimes our subconscious may refuse to believe the words within the affirmation and therefore we may have difficulty instilling a new pattern of belief. However, using power words we can often effectively trick the subconscious and impregnate the new belief.

The subconscious mind cannot take a joke, it follows our habitual thoughts and does everything in its power to make manifest whatever we truly believe. If we repeat affirmations like, I am wealthy, but the subconscious mind simply does not or will not believe this with conviction what can we do? We can use power words to overcome this lack of initial belief from the subconscious and kind of trick the subconscious and change the old belief but this process takes time and repetition is the key.

For example by repeating power words like wealth or abundance to ourselves without putting these words into an affirmation or sentence, our subconscious mind puts up no mental barriers has no trouble absorbing them. Effectively, by repeating those power words the subconscious wanders over and considers the meaning of wealth and abundance and it will freely conjure up images and a kind of mental interpretation of what those words mean. By simply keeping the conscious mind on thoughts of what wealth and abundance represent and by trying to get an emotional feeling towards having wealth or abundance in your life, over time these feelings and thoughts will draw to you wealth and abundance.

You can imagine what you would draw into your life if you concentrated on the words pain and suffering with the associated feelings that accompany such words. Eventually you would break down in pain and of course you would suffer the consequences for keeping the subconscious focused on those negative thoughts and images.

You can begin using power words today and start immediately the process of changing your subconscious mind in any area of your life. Remember the fastest way to benefit from using power words is to repeat them as often as possible or at least repeat them first thing when you wake up and last thing at night before you fall asleep. It does not matter how long you repeat the word, perhaps for a few minutes in each session would be ok but I like to have some regular power words up my sleeve to repeat to myself when I am not busy like while traveling or just waiting around. To start changing your life in 7 different ways you could choose a different power word for each day of the week and when you notice the changes appear in your life you can choose new words or keep repeating the same word to drown the new conviction into your subconscious mind and subsequently into your reality. Imagine repeating the power words love or happiness for 5 minutes twice a day for the rest of your life, amazing things could happen.
