The Family Factor
May 15th, 2010As we travel through life, friends come and friends go, some stay around a little longer than others, some friendships dissipate as quickly as they began. If we are lucky we might have a friend or two who is a friend for life although these types of friendships are rare, especially these days. Family on the other hand is family and there is usually no stronger bond in life than the bond of a close family member. Sometimes we overlook our family or take them for granted, this can be easy to do but we need to take a step back from our busy life once in a while and acknowledge the ones we most care about and most care about us.
I understand not everyone has close bonds with their family and that is a very sad situation although in many cases, our family, especially our parents, our children, our wives and husbands and our brothers and sisters are the backbone of our very existence. It is easy to take your parents for granted while you are still a kid and parents probably expect this to a degree, however, when you become an adult it is wise to show them the respect they deserve and never deliberately take them for granted.
The relationships you have with your parents are a respectful type of relationship where as the relationships you have with brothers and sisters are more like the closest form of friendships. In other words, no matter how old you are, your parents may still give you loving advice in a parental kind of way. With siblings its more about, you know I always have your back and I know you always have mine, even if we do not see each other as often as we would like.
When you choose a wife or a husband, well that is probably the biggest and most important decision you will ever make. This bond is the bond for life and often the bond that will bring new life into the world. When you make the decision to have a child with your partner, this is the greatest commitment you will ever make. The guidance of a child in my opinion, as a parent is the greatest gift you will ever receive and by far the most rewarding pleasure in life. The love between a parent and child is the reason we are here.
Sometimes life gets so busy we may temporarily forget who and what is most important. It is in these moments, with the good and the bad, we should acknowledge our family, give a hug, ask for help, be a shoulder to cry on or simply tell them how much you love them or how much you need them. Loving your family is the greatest investment in happiness you will ever make for yourself and your family.

We should never get too busy for our families, what use would it be to acquire “success and wealth” and lose your family in the produce. the key I guess is balance, it sounds so easy yet a difficult task to master
