New Year New Beginning
January 1st, 2010I am not a huge fan of New Year resolutions, especially not telling other people that you will or will not do something from the first day of the new year. Why put pressure on yourself by telling others of your plan to quit smoking, quit drinking, eat healthier or whatever. Improving your life is not a contest with others, or proving to others you can commit to a goal and stick to it. Instead of setting a New Year resolution to start on the first day of the New Year and telling everyone about it, why not keep it to yourself and give yourself the first month of the year to get ready for your new goal. I often plan a new goal for the end of January and always keep it to myself.
A new year is a new beginning and a great way to move on from the previous year, whether it has been a good year or not. Last year I had a great year but I plan for this year to be even better and I am planning some new goals to come into effect towards the end of January that I will work hard towards for the entire year.
My goals for the New Year are extensions of goals and plans from last year but with new creative ideas to implement them further into my life and watch them flourish into successful outcomes that will put me where I want to be. Your goals should be congruent with the kinds of things that make you feel happy with yourself and content within.
If you have had success in certain areas before, you already know you can do it, so this year you can expect to take that success to the next level and so on. Success is a series of stages that never end. As you achieve success your confidence builds and as you gain confidence you become stronger and stronger. Eventually the only person who can possibly stand in your way to reaching any goal you set your mind on is you.
No matter what it is you desire to achieve, you have to put constructive energy out into the universe to get positive and constructive energy to return. Most people I know want more wealth in their lives so if this is what you want you need to work a little bit harder to earn a little bit more money and spend what you can afford and save enough to be able to watch your money grow. Making money is not rocket science, but you have to be able to earn it to save it and you have to keep on spending it to see it return. The very act of spending money on a regular basis is your way of sending wealth energy into the universe and as you keep up this cycle, like all cycles, it will come back. What goes around comes around.
By continually hoarding your money, being fearful of when you might see money come back to you is a recipe for those living on struggle street. In other words, if you are too scared to spend your money for fear of not having enough in the future, guess what? You wont. Spending money is saying to the universe, go on take it, I know more is coming back to me and it most definitely will. I know this is true and the more you freely spend, you will come to know it too.
I am not saying to waste your money, waste is waste, I am saying buy what you need and spend what you need to invest for your future. The most successful people alive are constantly spending to live and spending to invest in their successful future. When you learn to spend freely and regularly, knowing more money is always coming your way, you are on the fast track to wealth and success.
