Over the years I have worked as a personal trainer, one of the most common questions I get asked is how to lose weight easily? Losing weight easily comes down to how you look at your goal to lose weight. If you look at your desire to lose weight and think it is a monumental challenge, then that is what it will be. However, if you feel that losing weight is not overly difficult, you will lose weight easily and the process will not seem like a burden in your life.

The first step to lose weight easily is to look at your goal to lose weight as a holiday, yes that is right, a holiday. I have asked many of my personal training clients if they enjoy taking holidays as soon as they ask me how they can lose weight easily and every one of them said they love taking holidays. They all said they enjoy taking holidays because they get a chance to get away from work and have fun. These are the same reasons I also enjoy taking a holiday and they are the exact same reasons I like working out.

I don’t exercise because I feel I have to or to keep in shape, I never have felt this way. I exercise because I enjoy doing it, I actually look forward to my workout and on the days I don’t workout in the gym, I usually do some other form of exercise even if it is just going for a brisk walk. I feel like my daily workout is my mini holiday each day, it is my chance to escape everything else in the world or anything that is bothering me and lose myself in exercise for an hour or so. After every exercise session due to a release of the endorphin hormones in the brain, I always feel better about everything in my life and this makes me look forward to my next training session. This is exactly how to lose weight easily. Find an exercise that you really enjoy doing and it will feel like a mini holiday for you. If you do not like your current exercise program than it is up to your to find something you do like, there are literally thousands of sports to get your body moving, you could always change what you do each week so you never get bored with the same training program, that is what I do.

To lose weight easily after you have chosen the sport or type of exercise you enjoy, set a realistic goal to lose weight. Get into the habit of exercising regularly, follow a healthy diet and see how much weight you can lose in a month. Keep in mind that it is you who wants to lose the weight and feel better about yourself so it is a competition versus yourself, no one else needs to be a part of your lose weight plan. Of course there may be times when you want to cheat on your diet but remember you are only cheating yourself and is it really worth it?

Don’t tell anybody you are on a diet or an exercise program to lose weight if you want to lose weight easily. The more people that know about your goal, the more pressure you will have to succeed and you don’t need any pressure at this stage. You are not going for a gold medal in the Olympic Games, you simply just want to lose some weight, it really is not that big of a deal unless you make it so.

The number one key ingredient to lose weight easily has got to be a belief in yourself, if you think you can do it, you will do it. If you set a realistic goal, like losing just 1 kg per week, that is all your goal will ever be, just 1 kg at a time. Don’t look at the big picture, just take one day at a time and imagine how much better you will look if you can lose just 1 kg per week. If you need to lose 20 kg it will only take 20 weeks, if you need to lose 40 kg, it will only take 40 weeks. What ever you goal, staying true to your goal and yourself is a small price to pay to enjoy the benefits of a lean and healthy body for the rest of your life.
