Law of Attraction
September 16th, 2006The law of attraction states we attract whatever we think about. It doesn’t matter if our thoughts are good or bad, wanted or unwanted we are doing it constantly whether we are aware of it or not.
Most people go through their lives reacting to one situation after the next having no idea they are responsible for every person and every event that has entered their life. If we face a situation we do not like and we continue to think about it, we will get more situations the same. It becomes a vicious cycle as we continue to think about what we don’t want and by doing so we attract more of it to us.
The law of attraction sounds too simple to be true but it most definitely is true. Our thoughts are like magnets, as we think, we are sending our thoughts out into the universe. These thoughts are gathering energy and coming back to us magnified. If we send out thoughts of love, we will attract the feeling of love. If, however, we think about poverty and limitation, we will continue to feel poor and restricted.
You may have heard some of the following sayings:
What you give is what you get
Be careful what you wish for
What you sow is what you reap
What goes around comes around
Like attracts like
All of these sayings are related to the law of attraction. Once you understand this universal law you can start using it to your advantage, to create that which you want, not that which you don’t want.
The first thing to remember when using the law of attraction is try not to force anything into happening. The harder you try to get something, the more you begin to fear not having it and with the law of attraction you end up getting exactly the opposite of what you want. The best idea is to relax and think about what you want from the heart. Imagine what it is you want to attract into your life and just hold that thought. Using the law of attraction is not a difficult process at all. It is the simplest, most straight forward and most powerful law in the universe. It is only due to our conditioning through the course of our lives that has us believing we can’t just simply have what we want. The truth is we can have exactly what we want and choose when we get it. It is just a matter of holding onto the idea of what we want and letting go of any fears associated with not getting what we want.
It is an easy 3 step process.
Know what it is you want
Think about it often and saturate your thoughts with emotion.
Without forcing it, let it happen, feel good about it coming, expect it.
Let the universe take care of the details. As long as you stay true to your beliefs and expect what ever it is you want will manifest in your life, it most definitely will, the law of attraction will work for you if you relax and follow the previous steps. Hold onto your intention and the more often you think about having it, the faster things will happen. You may even notice the universe giving you signs or opportunities to move in the direction of your goal in ways you have never noticed before. If these syncronicities appear and they feel right, don’t hesitate and you may have that which you wish for much sooner than you think. The universe responds very quickly when you believe in the desired outcome.
The one last thing you must do when using the law of attraction is, show gratitude to the universe when you get what it is you want and more good things will come to you. You can simply show gratitude by saying “thank you” when it comes into your life.
