How to Use Your Mind for Success
October 3rd, 2006A computer is an amazing invention and can perform many applications, but only if you know how to use it, it’s pretty useless otherwise. You don’t need to know how it works you only need to know how to use it. Your mind is a lot like this. Once you know how to use it, you will see what seems like miracles beginning to happen in your life. It’s not necessary to know how the invisible forces of your mind work it’s just a matter of simply understanding that what you habitually think about creates your environment and all of your experiences.
Your mind works according to the law of belief. This law works 100% of the time and always follows the flow of your thoughts. If you are pessimistic and regularly think bad thoughts, you will have bad experiences which often lead to more bad experiences and this in turn leads to frustration and a feeling of helplessness. However, when you habitually think positive and constructive thoughts, this will lead you to an experience of happiness and prosperity. It doesn’t matter what you think as long as you feel it is true. If you believe something, your subconscious mind will accept it and bring it into your experience. Once your conscious mind gives the command to your subconscious mind it immediately sets about making it so using all of your knowledge and drawing on every experience you have ever had in your entire lifetime. There is an infinite intelligence inside of you and combined with all the laws of the universe your subconscious will continue with its purpose till the solution to your problem has come to pass.
Experiments have been carried out on people in a hypnotic state for years. While a person is deep in a hypnotic trance he or she is not conscious, the hypnotist is communicating with the persons subconscious mind and they are reacting accordingly from this unconscious state. Another term quite frequently used for the conscious mind is the rational mind and therefore the subconscious mind is referred to as the irrational mind. Hypnotists have time and again proven that the subconscious mind cannot adopt any reasoning process and is completely irrational by responding only to command no matter how irrational these commands are. Illustrations of this have shown people to accept suggestions unconditionally by acting as animals, barking like a dog, attempting to slither along the ground like a snake, snorting and tossing their head around like a horse while stamping one foot on the ground. Although this looks hilarious to the people witnessing these performances and makes great entertainment, it does prove that the subconscious mind will accept any suggestion regardless of how irrational this may be to the conscious mind.
The mind is so powerful that during these hypnotic suggestion episodes people have displayed physical changes when the hypnotist has suggested the subject is freezing cold and the persons skin has suddenly become covered in goose bumps which would normally only occur in low temperatures or when a persons face has become flushed and their skin starts to sweat when the suggestion has been made that they are boiling hot.
Consciously most people would never act like this and often when the subjects of these experiments have been shown video footage of their actions afterwards they simply cannot believe they did such things and this is because they wouldn’t in a conscious or rational state. This goes to show the difference between your conscious and subconscious mind and illustrates how your subconscious accepts as true whatever is impressed upon it. This is an ideal example of just how important it is to choose your thoughts wisely and only plant seeds of joy, abundance and good health in your subconscious mind. As you sow, so shall you reap.
