Female Confidence Building
March 21st, 2007I am not a big fan of the media and probably never will be so when I hear media reports that it is not natural for women to take supplements to increase their estrogen levels to fill out their breasts or hips or to have surgery to enhance their aging face, get a breast reduction or enlargement, have a nose job or a tummy tuck I think to myself why is this such a big deal. If it is not hurting anyone else to get your breasts augmented and you can afford it, what is the problem? I happen to know a number of women who have had their breasts enlarged and the boost they got from it worked wonders on their self confidence. A womans appearance means a lot to her and especially as she ages when those weight workouts and walks in the morning just are not enough to keep her looking the way she wants, this may be the time to consider another alternative in boosting her level of confidence.
More and more women are turning to herbal treatments as a natural addition to exercising. I am sure some women are also using unnatural drugs to help them turn back the clock and I am not in agreement with this as it may have serious long term side effects which may lead to other problems. However, if a woman can find a natural supplement to give her looks a boost, why not give it a try. The subconscious mind is a very powerful tool and if you believe something will work for you then it probably will. I am not sure if those very expensive creams women rub all over their body are worth the money or work any better than a cheap moisturizing cream but if it makes her happy, that is a good thing.
When it comes to cosmetic surgery there will always be those in favor of it and those opposed to the idea. Recently a middle age lady who regularly works out in the sports club I work at had a breast enlargement operation. She had always wanted bigger breasts and felt uncomfortable in her body so she thought a bigger set would make her feel more feminine. After she recovered from the minor surgery she looked on top of the world, her confidence was at an all time high, she was bouncing around the gym and her husband and children were very happy for her because she felt happier within herself. However, there were a couple of women in the gym who could not help but comment negatively about how they did not think it was natural or she was too old to have that type of surgery. This pettiness stems from the insecurities these other ladies have within themselves. Instead of wasting precious time and energy on passing judgment on someone else, these ladies would have better spent their time working on their own bodies or mind in some sort of constructive way.
I am all for building confidence by doing what makes you happy and if you can do that without hurting others or yourself I can’t see a problem with trying to enhance your body. Maybe some may say cosmetic surgery is dangerous and maybe it could very well be but that is something you need to explore and deal with. If you get hooked on cosmetic surgery this may also become a serious problem but I think in general most people only take minimal and calculated steps to achieve a new look and each and every adult should have that right.
