Enjoy Change

As you begin to walk the spiritual path and your sense of awareness broadens, it can seem a bit overwhelming at first but the key to letting things happen in their own natural way is to not hold on too tight. It was probably your fears or worries and your idea of holding onto life so tightly that took you to a place that was so confusing, you started to look for another way out. This was certainly the way things panned out for me.

I had done a “Power of the Mind” 4 day seminar years earlier in my life but I was only 21 years old at the time and I hadn’t experienced too many of life’s lessons at that stage and found it difficult to get my mind around the fact I could create the life I wanted just by thinking about it. With so many distractions, influences and temptations at that young age, I found myself riding the waves of life with some success and an equal amount of failure. I guess I fell into the trap that most people experience and simply believed that life was all about ups and downs and I better get used to it. Until one day, like most or all people who realize there must be more to life than a series of uncontrollable ups and downs, I started to look for answers.

You may have heard the saying “when the student is ready, the teacher will come”, I could not agree with this more. When I was ready, my teacher appeared in the most unlikely of people. It wasn’t some guru in a robe down from the mountains, he was a friend I had known for a couple years who just happened to loan me a book of a spiritual nature right when I needed it. Before he gave me this book I had no idea he was interested in this type of material and I never asked him for any help. I read the book he gave me and it lead me to similar books and later when I asked him why he had offered me this book, we had never discussed anything spiritual previously, he simply said he thought I might enjoy reading it because he had noticed I had been looking a bit down at the time. This was years ago now but whenever I think about getting started on the spiritual path or if anyone ever talks to me about it, I always respond in the same way. Just let it happen in its own time. The universe will respond with all the answers to your questions in one way or another when you are ready. Now that you are on the path to enlightenment, let go and trust, you will be guided in the right direction.

Enlightenment doesn’t happen overnight, it is about gradual changes that seem right to take when the opportunities present themselves. If it feels right from an intuitive level or from within, it probably is right for you. If however, a seemingly great opportunity appears but you feel like you may be fighting against it, it might not be right for you. But let me say, and I hope I don’t appear to be contradictory, if you do take this opportunity and it turns out to have been a big mistake, you still made the right choice because you, me and everyone else in this world is always in the right place at the right time. Although it might not seem like it at the time. It is the mistakes we make along the way, combined with our good choices that make us feel good that guide us to the enlightened place we are all looking for.

I think everybody worries sometimes, about certain things but if you have found the spiritual path as many people seem to have in this day and age, it’s a good chance you have if you are reading this article on this website, just let go and trust the journey will unfold in the right way for you. Enjoy the changes as they appear in your life, don’t fight it. The entire universe is made up of different forms of energy and energy is by nature always changing. As you progress down the spiritual path, enjoy this ever changing life, as it will last forever.
