Choose Love or Fear
October 5th, 2007No matter what situation we are in, every time we make a decision our choice is either based on love or fear. There may be hundreds of different types of emotions we feel during our lives but all those emotions come down to sub emotions of love or fear. It is through the choices we make that lead us towards more love or more fear, nothing happens by accident in life since the universe is governed by the law of cause and effect. Our level of love or our level of fear determines the state of our reality.
When we feel the need to criticize or judge others we are choosing fear and our judgment of others will only cause us to be judged and we actually perpetuate the cycle of fear. We don’t have to like every one else but it is in our best interests to avoid the people who cause us to feel fearful or judgmental. Confrontation only leads to more fearful or angry thoughts. If you have to work with someone you do not like, instead of letting them upset you, start to smile at them but never let them see they are bugging you otherwise it will just continue. Your good nature might very well have the positive effect of causing them to leave you alone or you may no longer have to work with them once your fearful or negative feelings for them disappear.
Facing your fears is one of the best ways to overcome fear. If you are scared of deep water, the best thing to do is dive right on in, literally. If you are fearful of approaching a girl you like, the best way to rid yourself of this fear is to face that girl and ask her out. If you get a rejection, it doesn’t matter, you faced your fear and that is what counts and the next time you do it, it will be just a tiny bit easier. Facing your fears can be one of the most liberating feelings you will ever encounter in your life. As the old saying goes, face your fears, live your dreams.
When you choose to love more, guess what happens? Yes, you get more love in return. When you send out the feelings of love, you emit a positive vibration of energy out into the universe and like everything in this world, it travels in a circle and returns more love back to you multiplied. This is the perfect example of what you give is what you get back. There is no limit to the amount of love you can give out to all things and in every situation you encounter. As you move away from sending out fearful energy and replace it with loving energy, this is probably the single best way to change your entire life. This process, like all processes in life is cyclic so don’t give up, keep emitting loving energy and eventually you will be caught up in a wonderful cycle of loving energy.
Constantly releasing fearful energy through negative thought patterns is nothing but a bad habit, like smoking or drinking and we all know it is possible to break bad habits with a little bit of self discipline and will power. No one can break your bad habits but you, although the reward of moving away from fear and into a repeating cycle of loving energy is the greatest gift you could ever give yourself and everyone else around you will benefit from the warm positive energy you will radiate.
